Carl explains the counter-rotating spirals of the cone
of the white pine. The numbers of points in a circle are 3 in one direction,
5 in the other. Different species of conifers have different numbers
of points in their spirals. BUT: these numbers are always Fibonacci
numbers. AND: Fibonacci numbers approach that same "Golden Mean"
in the ratio of each number in the sequence to the one that follows
it.
