The local authorities are working hard to showcase the treasures that exist here in Querétaro. Here are some attractions that are new:

Railroad Museum: the old train station across the river north of the Centro Historico had already been restored, but now a new museum showing the importance of railroad activity locally and in Mexico has been added. We were particularly pleased to note a photo on display of ALCO locomotive 3027, built in Schenectady, New York at the old American Locomotive Company plant along the Mohawk River.

Museo Indigena: a very well-done small museum showing the culture and art of the indigenous cultures of Querétaro state. As part of this new institution, there is a large inner patio offering indigenous works for sale by the artisans themselves.
