Friendly folks

We met the Sánchez family at a couple of cultural events. First at an avant garde film showing at the Cineteatro, and then at another special film showing - of Sergei Eisenstein's "Que Viva Mexico!" in the Plaza de Armas, with a live music accompaniment. We exchanged phone numbers and then received an invitation from them to come to dinner at their house. We found them totally charming: Rosa, the mother, Ascension, the father, and Emmanuel, their son. Their other son appeared briefly but we didn't get to visit with him. They have a lovely home in the "Brujas" section of town, just across the river that is the northern boundary of the historic center of town. We had a delightful meal and a stimulating conversation. The last photo shows the family with Lois, enjoying a photo that appeared in the local paper "El Diario" showing Lois and Don attending a musical event - also at the Cineteatro.
