While Robin and Kim were here, we had the good fortune to come upon a celebration that included the typical "Castillo" (Castle) of fireworks. This was in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Queretaro Diocese. There were various celebrations and ceremonies that were publicized, including a huge show with music and a mass in the Corregidora Stadium (soccer/futbol venue) with some 40,000 people in attendance. We stayed away from that one. But we found the Castillo waiting for action and stuck around for the event. That had to wait for the "Magna Gallo" parade to arrive from a suburb. Our patience was rewarded with quite a show.
