Plaza 25 de Mayo

The main square, where people congregate, especially on weekends. It is flanked by the Government Building for the state of Chuquisaca (Sucre) which was constructed between 1892 and 1896, the Municipal Building, from 1890, the Catehdral (1551-1653), and numerous cafes, restaurants and businesses, as well as the only first-run movie theater in Sucre. The lions in the square seem to enjoy a never ending stream of children riding on their backs.
