Na Bolom is a museum (and hotel/guide agency/research institute) devoted to the Lacandon, an indigenous group living in the highland jungle of Chiapas. They are the purest Maya group remaining. Frans Blom, an anthropologist, and Trudy Blom, a photographer and journalist, devoted decades to the study and preservation of the Lacandon and their forest. The Bloms created Na Bolom (which means "House of the Jaguar" in Totzil). To see the museum, you take a guided tour (at 11:30 or 4:30 daily).
