| Ancud, Isla Grande de Chiloe

We rented a car at the Puerto Montt airport and immediately drove the 50 km to the ferry across the Cachao channel to the Grand Island of Chiloe. We enjoyed watching the seals frolicking around the ferry during the 30 minute crossing. We soon arrived in Ancud, the major town in the northern part of Chiloe. In Ancud, we visited the Blue Museum and the artesania shopping area, and enjoyed a delicious meal at the Hostel Ancud. We drove and walked around the area, soaking up the beautiful views.
