Well, we won't forget them. The following Thursday, February 17, we went on a house and garden tour organized for a charity benefit by the Damas de Cuernavaca. Our donation helps the children's hospital. We've been on other house and garden tours, notably in Saratoga Springs last summer, and enjoyed seeing the beautiful places. The first of the four houses on the tour Thursday was none other than Bajada San Anton #13, the home of the artist Francisco Maza. We didn't realize the connection until we arrived at the doors that we had admired the Saturday before. Lois got to chat with the artist a bit before he retreated to his studio from the crowd. These shots include ... the other side of the doors with all the greenery at the top, as well as various parts of the interior and patio of the house. The portrait of the girl with the cat was done by the artist, Francisco Maza.

Another house on the tour that impressed us was the home of Ingeniero Palma and his family. The first of these photos looks into the entryway from the street, while the last shot was taken looking back toward the house as we were leaving through that same entry.

An added benefit of the house and garden tour was that volunteer members of the Damas de Cuernavaca chauffered all the visitors around in their cars. Thus we got to meet Marisa Salmon, who was extremely gracious as she took us from house to house.
