Chucao, in Monumento Natural Lahuen Ñadi. This thrush-like bird is hard to spot in the forest, although it is very curious and tends to follow along keeping people in sight. It also has a very loud distinctive call. Lois read a book by a Jesuit priest who lived many years in the area, and always heard the Chucao but NEVER saw one. So we're happy with our obscure little photo.
