And then we arrived in the actual Magic Town of Tlalpujahua, home of the Lopez Rayón family that were very influential in supporting the struggle for independence from Spain in the early 19th century. The Pueblo Magico Tlalpujahua is home to a museum of the mining activities at Dos Estrellas, as well as the beautiful Santuario de Nuestra Señora Del Carmen. Alejandra bought some excellent fruit conserves at the stand off the main square.
