We enjoyed a great visit with our friends Katy and Dan Leonard. On their first day here we toured around town to see some of the attractions of Querėtaro, including the famous 18th century aqueduct, and monuments to La Corregidora and to the Conchero indigenous dancers. Dan later got to visit colleagues at the local GE offices.

Next we took an hour’s bus ride over to San Miguel de Allende, in the neighboring state of Guanajuato. One of the highlights there is the Mercado de Artesania (arts and crafts market) where both the Leonards and the Porters found a few treasures to take home. We found a very nice place for lunch, complete with Don Quijote and Sancho Panza.
