La Marquesa

On Sunday we enjoyed a more leisurely start with a chat over breakfast. Then Manuel and Alejandra drove us through beautiful country in the Marquesa Valley between Toluca and Mexico City. We stopped for an early lunch at the scenic and lovely resort restaurant “El Venado del Potrero”. The décor and the views were spectacular. We enjoyed the recreation scene as more and more Mexico City residents arrived to relax in the country. After more natural beauty, we stopped by a state-run collection of Artesania where we found a few treasures. Finally our friends took us to the Toluca bus station for our return to Queretaro.
